Of Ducklings and Catalogs

I don't know how things are looking in the UK right now, but here in south Georgia (US), spring is "bustin' out all over." I've been here for almost a month visiting family and friends, and I've enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather. The azaleas are blooming. The trees have fresh, baby leaves. Pollen is abundant, much to my nose's dismay!

Now as you know, two sure signs of spring are:

1. Ducklings.
2. Sonlight catalogs.

I saw this sweet family of ducklings at a plant nursery just down the road from my parents' house. As my dad and I were watching them, we noticed that one of the babies got left behind when his mom and the rest of the little ones swam across the pond. You should have seen him when he realized he was all alone! He quickly looked around, located his mama, and started paddling and "peeping" like crazy! It was fun to watch. He quickly caught up with the others and then waddled along the path with them. I love baby animals!

Not only does spring bring ducklings, it also brings SONLIGHT CATALOGS! I'm happy to report that this year's catalog is simply brilliant, and it's in the post already. Folks are beginning to receive them here in the United States, and I bet they'll show up in the UK very soon. If you're like me, you'll want to hide away somewhere with a nice cuppa and read it from cover to cover as soon as it arrives. I hope you enjoy it! Sonlight's been hard at work on it for months now, and I think you appreciate all that they've done to make this year's catalog the best ever.

Let me know if you have any questions about the catalog or materials. You can reach me at mrentz@sonlight.com. I'll be posting information about some of the new products and improvements here over the next few days, so be sure to come back soon!

Happy Spring!

  1. Michael Ann, you are sounding so British these days! "post?" "cuppa?" I wish I could hear your Southern-British accent! Must be something like my dad's Southern-Italian! Too funny!

  2. Sheila, I think "British" these days, but I still sound quite American, I assure you! Since a lot of my newer customers are from the UK, I have to make sure I'm communicating clearly with both them and my older, American customers. Gets a bit tricky sometimes!
