The Autumn Show features animals, foods, and crafts from this part of the country. We saw an amazing range of horses, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, birds, and donkeys, and we enjoyed seeing lots and lots and lots of dogs! C adores dogs, so she especially enjoyed watching them.
Here are some of our photos from last year.
Miniature donkeys! I immediately fell in love with these beautiful animals, and I hope God allows me to have a couple of them at some point.
On the other end of the size spectrum, check out this draft horse. He was immense!
I love sheep! (We call them 'heeps because that's what a dear friend of ours used to call them.) These young people did a great job showing them.
C and I had seen dog agility competitions on television, but this was our first opportunity to see one in real life. These dogs (and their trainers) were amazing!
If you're looking for a nice day out with your family, you really can't beat this show. Some of the events and displays are inside the exhibition center and barns, but a lot of the events are outside. If you have little kids, you'll definitely want to put them in a stroller/pram. You can find more information, directions, and entry fees at the East of England Autumn Show website. The show is held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough.
We'll see you there! After you go, be sure to comment and tell me which animals--or which food vendor!--you liked the best.
