Show and Tell

I don't know about you, but when I was young, show and tell was one of my favorite parts of school. I've always been a little sad that my kids missed out on that since they're homeschooled, but I suppose our whole LIFE as homeschoolers is a bit like show and tell, don't you think? Anyway, in the spirit of show and tell, I thought I'd show you a glimpse of what I do for fun!

For the last year and a half, I've been taking a flower arranging class each week. I'm the only American in a group of lovely English ladies, and we really do enjoy our two hours away from the "real world" each week. Last week we did a very, very English arrangement. Here's how mine turned out!

And just a quick word for mums of young kids: Don't despair! You probably don't have much time for hobbies right now, but your children WILL get older, and then you'll have a little more fun time for yourself. Kiss their chubby little cheeks, give them a quick hug, and enjoy this season of your life!
